Poem Cactus Rose Miss Goodwitch

Hello! I wanted to share one of my songs for Imbolc. I am sharing this to celebrate my own divine Goddess energy and my Orisha Goddess Yemaya.  This was my voyage through the many ways I have explored in my spirtual growth and desire to be my divine self. The interesting thing about this song is that I wrote it before I knew anything about Goddess Yemaya, the mother mermaid of the seas, and Queen of the Heavens. Isn’t amazing how the Goddess find you! The first verse of this song/poem was an actual meditation experience that I experienced.  It is a song about shaking off the mirage of a man’s invention of you and daring to find yourself. Here it is, my offering.

Cactus Rose

                by Ostara

I flew on a red dragon across the ancient blue sea

I cast my nets for the pearls left behind by mermaids for me.

I can no longer avoid the lessons life keeps teaching.

I can’t turn my heart away from your arms that keep reaching.

But oh, baby please tell me,

Why do you keep me in a gilded cage?

Why does the mirror always reflect your face?

When am I gonna find my own direction?

Where is my Northern star?

Or am I just going down, down, down in the name of love?

Oh, am I going down, down, down in the name of love?

In the desert he is my oasis

Oh he redeems my very soul

He is the sun and I am the well of life

I am his cactus rose, ohh I am the Cactus Rose

In the land of Lorelei, clover grass and starry skies

are not the only fog that gets in my eye

My spirit screams out to be free but the white dove is silent as it dreams

When the honey of his words melt my soul

and the sting of his dominance fill my hole

I wonder if I am at last at the gate, the golden door

Will I find the love I’ve been looking for?

In the desert he is my oasis

Oh he redeems my very soul

He is the sun and I am the well of life

I am his Cactus rose,

ohh I am the Cactus Rose

I flew on a red dragon across the ancient blue sea

I cast my nets for the pearls left behind by mermaids for me.

I can no longer avoid the lessons life keeps teaching.

Can’t turn my heart away from your arms keep reaching.

Will I find the love I’ve been looking for?

Or am I just going down, down, down in the name of love?

Oh, am I going down, down, down in the name of love?

He is the sun and I am the well of life

I am his cactus rose, ohh I am the Cactus Rose

I hope each and every one of you find your Oasis!

Luv, Ostara
